EVENTS WITH CMC

After our first club meeting – County Merlin Cycles bike club was re-launched on Wednesday. It was great to see such a fabulous turnout on our first event and the enthusiasm was evident on the night. Great things planned for all levels and abilities:
Sunday 20th November- Club ride – meet at Dryslwyn Castle, fully equipped with parking and picnic benches if you’re in the frame of mind for a bite to eat al fresco after the ride. Start time 10.30 and heading for Llandovery cycling through some of the best views the Towy valley has to offer. check out our facebook updates for ‘County Cycles research day’ on the Bethlehem route.
Wednesday 23rd November – Black Mountains ride – meet at Ffairfach square – start time 11.00 – another breathtaking ride which replicates part of the Merlin Sportive Event which, if you haven’t entered already, takes place on 1st July 2012 and entries are discounted by £5 until end December

Here we have a photo that Graham Hodges from Barry, rider number 159, sent in from his reckie of the Merlin (104mile) route, to quote Graham ‘Yes we did the full 104 Merlin .Took over 10 hours but didnt rush and had some leisurely food /rest stops. Great route dont recall any really bad road surfaces .Cheers Graham’ There you go, come on get out there! Is Graham the first to ride the Merlin?
